I am in the process of completing a dedicated hc room and have the option of changing the front soundstage.

Currently i have B&W 704's which are floor standing speakers and a HTM7 centre, the 704s are obviously the same height but the HTM7 is somewhat lower. When i move everything into the dedicated room i have the option of buying three new speakers for the fronts, i will sell the HTM7 but keep the 704s for the dining room.

The distance from the bottom of the screen to the floor, where the centre will sit, is 60cm so with stands and speaker heights i can get three speakers that will all measure this height.

Assuming these are of the same quality as the 704s would i notice any benefits of doing this. Also are tracks mixed assuming all the fronts are level or do they take into account that the centre is not level with the sides.
