From the town of Sawai Madhopur, India

Sawai Madhopur is in the Indian state of Rajasthan and is best known as the main place to stay for people visiting the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. As the reserve is the main objective of people visiting the area, tourists are rarely seen around the actual town, especially in the old market area. Maybe it is for this reason that the locals are so friendly, most are happy to be photographed - indeed several asked for their pictures to be taken! There was absolutely no hassle whatsoever!

This is just a sample of the shots from my trip, more can be seen HERE, but please note I have still more shots to add to the album.

All comments welcome, thank you.

I found the less touristy places more friendly and laid back. We stopped off in Manmad, on the way to the Aurangabad caves, and it was so laid back compared to what I'd seen before. So much so that when our bus didn't turn up, we had to wait until the next day for the next one!
