    Dan,

If you can wait, the whole series is coming to the UK Sci-Fi Channel, in about one or two weeks time!! :) And yes, there was an R2 DVD boxed set, I'm certain. However, it may well have been deleted now, for a few years, as I don't think it did well - sales-wise. :(

Cheers Pooch. Im going to look around to see if I can get hold of one of those R2 sets (I can play R1s no problem, but I wanted to lend the box set to my mate who I know will like it.. and he can only play R2s!).

Scrapbook, Ive heard its on Monday at around 9pm on Sci Fi. From the reviews Ive heard of it, this series is excellent. :)

Can I mention a book on AV forums?

If you like the series from the Earth to the Moon it's really worth getting hold of a copy of Two Sides of the Moon.

It's written by David Scott and Alexei Leonov and tells the story of the space race from both the US and Russian perspectives.

David Scott flew in space three times and was the 7th man to walk on the moon, he was the commander of Apollo 15. He was also a consultant on the Earth to the Moon mini series and the film Apollo13.

Alexei Leonov was the first man to walk in space which is what we in the west remember him for. But the book tells us much more about him and the Russians plans for moonlandings. Leonov was to have commanded the first Russian cicumlunar mission which was scheduled for the summer before Apollo 8. He was also to have commanded a lunar landing mission in which just one man (unlike the Apollo 2 man) would have descended to the lunar surface from orbit. Full details in the book. Not to mention what really killed Yuri Gagarin and details of an assasination attempt on Brezhnev.

If a moderator decides that this is horribly of topic for this forum I'd have to say he was right!

Do you want to hear a story about a French actress and a Russian cosmonaut? as told to me by the daughter of another Cosmonaut (there's a good comment to drop into a conversation)
