    Hi

    Should I wait till my bulb expires before I upgrade to an AE300 or even an AE500??

    I love my little Panny, but would love a better contrast ratio.
    The AE500 claims 1300:1..... Is this correct?????

    What would the benefits of upgrading be when I only have 200 hours on the lamp?

    Cheers

    Chris

    sounds like a good plan to me.
    I may wait till the bulb is a little older before I take the plunge.

    image is alittle bit duller but still watchable and i am starting to see a little bit if a slight brown tinge at the bottom of the image (i think this is a result of heat soak on the prism) its for small and barely noticeable and it can only be seen on white, so it doesnt bother me, i currently have it on about 5 hours anight week days and up to 10 hours a day at weekends

    i am still happy with it and the dvds still look superb on it but i think when i get to 5000 hours the image will be past its best

    2800hrs...Pah, Thats peanuts. Sure I'm nearly at that with my AE300 now! :D :D
    ok ok I'm telling fibs Only 1300hr.

    If my Ae100 hadn't gone belly up and left me PJ'Less for 3 months I would have done.........

    Ae100 = 3400hrs
    3 months@10hr/day = 900hrs
    Ae300 to date = 1300hrs

    = 5600hrs
    :D:D:D :devil:
