My Receiver has a GEQ for the following frequency bands: 63Hz, 160Hz, 400Hz, 1Khz, 2.5Khz, 6.3Khz and 16Khz. In the tech specs it says it can output 20Hz-20Khz through all channels. So does the 63Hz frequency band represent 63Hz and below (in which case 16Khz would be for everything below too and no way of controlling the 16-20Khz frequency band) or it is 63-160Hz etc, in which case you cannot volume the frequencies below 63Hz but you can volume them from 16-20Khz?
Also it says:
Bass Boost/Cut -+6Db/50Hz
Bass turnover frequency 350Hz
Treble Boost/Cut -+6Db/20Khz
Treble turnover frequency 3.5Khz
With bass it implies that the bass control volumes from 50Hz and gets quieter at 350Hz, but with treble it does the opposite an seems to imply that treble control volumes 20Khz and gets quieter at 3.5Khz. Is this the correct way of interpreting this?
