No. Freeview is the digital terrestrial transmitter service.
Any box with all the catchup players (You View, Freeview Play, Now TV box, Roku, ?Firestick?) would sort of work for a fair number of channels/programmes. But not absolutely live, and nor without risks of what can be viewed via the internet on them ... (You don't give the age so research the parental controls if appropriate). A PC, laptop or tablet might do as good a job for one person viewing and streaming.
Not all are catchup enabled boxes are wireless and wifi is not always reliable for TV streaming anyway. Nor are homeplugs reliable. Some (most?) with a Freeview tuner built in may need to be tuned in on an aerial before working, and even then may not be too happy/user friendly.
It's seldom impossible to get an aerial cable to a room... difficult to do yes, and may damage decorations/need floor lifting/access to lofts/holes in walls so be inconvenient... Or in rented require Landlord permission. But seldom impossible.
Location? If in a very strong TV signal area a room (top of wardrobe) located log periodic might work in a bedroom? But may not be reliable... we do tend to not recommend them - the transmitter network is designed around the use of outside directional receiving aerials 10m above the ground.
