Freeview with indoor aeriel

Standard Member
Hello everyone!

This is my first post so please be gentle!

I have a TV in my bedroom which uses an indoor aeriel (i dont have the extention etc to use the the roof aeriel). At present, i recieve no channels with it as i live in such a place that only a roof aeriel will do.

If i buy a freeview box and use the same indoor aeriel, would i be able to get any channels??

If you can't receive any analogue channels then it is extremely unlikely that you can get digital channels.

A roof mounted aerial is probably the only solution.
A good guide is always to see what your neighbours have and what works / doesn't work for them.

Brian's answer is spot on.
Search this very forum section for "loft aerial" "indoor aerial" or similar search string to see many other threads discussing both this and people's practical experience or problems with indoor antennas.
