    Hi,

I'm a bit of a novice in the world of freeview, i have sky+ myself but my parents are ditching sky and going to freeview. Does anyone here know of any freevew boxes with recording capabilities? I'm not really interested in tivo as it's my parents!

the only box with a recorder that appears on kelkoo etc is a Dabs Value PVR8000T, anyone here know anything about it?

    Hope you can help!

    Chris

The Humax T8000 seems to be a great little unit only let down by the fact it's a single tuner (If you are recording a channel, you cannot flick to another channel). Available in 40 and 80 Gig flavours.

Pace Twin has been around for a while but there have been reports of many bugs (Programs not being recorded, frezzing up) and the HD is only 10 Gig.

Fusion do the FVRT100 which is a twin tuner with 40 Gig HD. I have this box and it is easy to use but there is a question on PQ.....might be that my aerial isn't picking up a strong enough signal.

    HTH,

    Richie.

The Panasonic TUCTH100 should also be available shortly (before Christmas).

Can you connect a HD in a caddy via USB to a Netgem iPlayer to record? IIRC there was talk of being able to do this in the future here, but it needed a software update.
