    Morning

Why does a Talk Talk Huwaei Youview recorder pickup more channels then my Panasonic or Sony Freeview recorders?

Using channel 96 (Forces Channel), as an example, no matter how many scans I do on the Freeview boxes they don't pickup channel 96. Using the same aerial, the Youview box does? I don't know how many other channels Freeview are missing.

Checking on the Freeview website I am meant to be able to pick it up.

    Thanks

Different tuners have different 'sensitivities' and can work better than others?

The Hauwei is a DVB-T2 aka Freeview HD model and if the others are DVB-T Freeview (SD) only they won't pick up that service, nor any HD channels? Model numbers?

Depending on how the aerial feed the multiple outlets/receivers then there may be options for improving the signals to those receivers if they are DVB-T2 compliant and get the full set available in your location.

Thanks you have confirmed my suspicions. The Talk Talk You view box is an HD box where the others are only SD, so it makes sense the YV recorder is more up to date (DVB-T2)

    Thanks
