It's no secret that the image quality on most digital TV broadcasts leaves something to be desired. The thing is, I'll soon be upgrading my LCD TV to one that has a digital tuner built in, and getting rid of the decoder. In the distant future, I'll be picking up a scaler to go alongside this setup. It just dawned on me this morning that that means I'll be forced into using the TV's built-in processing. Freeview looks pretty horrible anyway at times as I said, and I doubt a scaler will do anything to clear up the blocking, but do you think it's worth me keeping my decoder around for the day when I finally get a scaler? Does it make the image quality any more watchable? Thanks!
