All of a sudden at about 9pm the Freeview picture stopped, TV (Sony KD28DX51) has the message "The selected programme is not available". Signal strength is high but no picture on any channels.

Analogue signal is fine so not an aerial problem.

I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, anyone else got this problem tonight?

    Hi,
I live a bit further North (Ripon) and have encountred the same problem a few months back. The problem seemed to rectify itself, although we are using the TyneTees transmitter. Hang in there!

This would seem to be a variation of another problem I've found with my TV in that when a signal drop occurs it cannot recover without either changing channels or switching on and off.

I switched the TV off and back on and the picture returned.

Not sure if this inability to recover is a common problem but I'm not too impressed. In fact, my last device, Pace Twin, was returned due to similar irritations.
