Freeview Player "Can't Connect To Server. Please Try Later"

i'm using a Hisense U7A, don't go to FP much but was checking it out a couple days ago and got the message above, and since then that's all i get. Netflix, BBC iPlayer etc are all fine, is there any reason FP isn't playing ball, and anything i can try to rectify it?

There were changes made to the Freeview platform on the 22 June which may be affecting it so I suggest setting it up / retuning once again.

what do you mean retuning it? the TV channels all seem to be there, the remote has a dedicated Freeview Player button, which is what is bringing up the error message, i didn't do any setting up of that itself.
