My freeview is completley dead. I'm in the North west of england. I've tried rescanning and it's not having it.

I have a philips 32 inch telly. Is it possible for inbuilt freeview to 'die'?

    Winter Hill is transmitting.

Certainly, because any electronic circuit can become faulty. :lesson:

But we need a lot more details to diagnose your problem, such as model number of tv, which transmitter do you watch (relay of Winter Hill perhaps?), do you get analogue on the same aerial, etc.

Oh, and welcome to the Forum. :)

If you had a cheap freeview STB available you could use that for a check.

If it works OK then the TV tuner or associated circuitry is faulty.
