Does anyone know what (if any) new channels may become available on Freeview without subscription in the near/distant future?

We're more likely to see More4 first. AFAIK, the E4 move to Freeview is only being "considered" at the moment.

It seems quite likely that E4 will go to Freeview as they want to become more PSB.

Also easy way to double total viewers!

They own their band width so it would cost them very little to go FTA, only loser would be Murdoch VIsion

Considering the "live" reality crap that E4 shows and the fact that most of their imports are shown on CH4 a few days or weeks later then it's not unreasonble to say as a PAY channel it's outlived it's usefullness. In that respect a non-subscription E4 is worthless to SKY and I suspect most of it's subscribers since the channel isn't even run as a genuine PAY sister channel to Ch4 like it used to be.

Making E4 a non-subscription channel just proves that the £100million plus that was spent launching and buying PAY rights was wasted in the long term.

Anyhow, all said and done this hasn't been confirmed by anyone from CH4/E4 as far as I am aware and More4 has been on the cards for quite a while and does seem on the surface to be the more practical companion channel to CH4.

To be honest E4 is pretty pants, I would not pay for it - the only pay channels we watched were Discovery Wings before it closed and became Discovery, and Taste CFN. (15 channels basic subscription £3 per month IDTV)

However on Freeview the channel lineup is better!

Abc1, Ftn is better than a lot of old pay channels, UK History and of course The Hits and TMF poopoo on UK Play and MTV when it comes to playing music.

We did cancel as well but they went bust before we ran out of subscription. TUTV is so bad it will go the same way soon (I hope) as compared to Ondigital it is a total rip off.

I had DTTV for 18 months before going pay and to be honest the grass was not greener - it was yellowing.
