I've checked on the Freeview web site, and it says that my postcode isn't covered, however, I find it hard to believe that we can't get a digital terrestrial signal here... Does anyone know if it is possible to get a good Freeview signal here?

    Thanks,

    Dave.

I've got friends in Stevenage and they have no problems with Freeview. As far as I know they are on Sandy Heath.

Cool, I think I'll look in to getting a box for the spare room then :). I'll need to wire in the aerial though, as I'm on cable at the moment and AFAIK the aerial in the loft isn't connected to anything!

Yep, I'm in North Stevenage too :-(

Have the aerial in the loft using the wiring that was installed in the house. Currently pointing towards sandy heath, picture excellent. Purchased a masthead amp to boost the signal to send to other rooms as well and now i am picking up the Crystal Palace signals as well! Excellent quality all round!

Forgot to say, you will need a wideband aerial!

I'm in South Stevenage. I had to get a new aerial and mast-head amplifier but can watch freeview. I think this part of Stevenage is about the worst for reception due to our area being lower than the surrounding areas.
