My husband is a lorry driver and we have just bought him a tv with dvd and freeview.
He has tried the aerial that came with the tv and also have bought a 'magic wand' aerial but he still can't pick up any freeview channels, although he can get analog tv.
Can anyone give any advice?

Thanks

"Don't watch TV whilst driving". But that is probably not the advice you meant? :D

At the moment Digital TV is running at low power to avoid interference with analogue, so it is only in favoured areas that he will be able to get a signal with a mobile aerial. If he checks wolfbane (see FAQs) for wherever he parks up it will tell him his chances. If you buy him a direction aerial and a compass it may be enough.

Now if he put a turnable telescopic mast on his unit, and a wideband hi-gain ae on top....

That would turn a few heads.
Seriously though he would have do a scan every time he stops assuming he is long distance driver,Not as easy as the analogue.

If he parks up near houses, look to see where their aerials are pointing.
