After my Sky+ dish installation appears to have been knackered by rainfail twice in the last 3 months, and since I'm sick of paying £50 to Sky..... I want to go Freeview HDD instead.

But before I do, I have 1 simple question..... do the Freeview HDD's with twin tuners behave like Sky+? I mean, would a simpleton be able to use it?
Can you simply set a timer whilst browsing the EPG, and can you easily access a list of your previously recorded programs?

Getting well fed up of Sky now!

    Hi Jules

Basically the answer to your questions is yes; all freeview PVR's have either a 7 or 14 day epg from which you can record. None of them have quite the same level of functionality as $ky+.

    Thanks Richard.

I wouldn't have expected them to work quite as well as Sky+, but so long as they are very easy to schedule a recording that'll do for me.

Looks like I could be making an investment soon....saving ££'s a month on Sky subscriptions.
