Freeview HD PVR with Blu-ray Player?

I've been looking for a while now to find the perfect Freeview HD PVR for my parents, waiting till all my requirements have been met. After much searching I'd settled on the Humax HDR FOX-T2 HD PVR because it offers all these required features:

Freeview HD
PVR
Dual Tuner
BBC iPlayer
mkv (important)/xvid/divx playback (ideally over network but ok from USB for time being)

I suggested that they buy this, but now they also want the above to include a Blu-ray player as well.... Does such a device exist that is any good? Are there any soon-to-be-released units that are worth waiting for?

Many thanks in advance!

Bluray devices like this are still a specialism.

The only current devices available are made by Panasonic and are Bluray recorders - Not players... although of course they will play Bluray discs too.

But if you go into hybrid devices like this you will find media playback generally much more restrictive [ no mkv support ].

More information about these devices is here.

Toshiba did used to make a unit which included a Bluray player only ... but I don't think it is available anymore.

There's this Samsung player as well - it's just a player, not a recorder. I've heard good and bad about it so worth some research.

Thanks petrev, that's the one I was thinking of. I wouldn't go for it myself, as I've seen jaggies on LG's Blu-ray players when upscaling DVDs, but it's an interesting alternative to Samsung or Panasonic for those who might be in the market for this kind of combi.
