I'd like the following channels over the xmas period:

    The discovery channels
    National geographic channels
    BBC 1, 2 3 and 4
    Channel 4
    Sky 1

What TV packages etc could I get these on which would NOT mean signing up for a 12 month contract?

    Any help? :p

are subscription channels on all platforms on which they are carried so, to answer to your question, what you ask can't be done.
Any less legal means cannot be discussed here and would, in any event, depend on the receiver(s) you have
The BBC channels are, of course, Free To Air.

Sign up for Sky with Knowledge Pack mid-December - cancel within 28 day cooling off period. Only way of getting subscription channels over Christmas without keeping it for 12 months.
