    Hi,

I'm looking at getting Freeview, but the Freeview website says that I don't have coverage. I recently stumbled across the DTG website however and that says that I have coverage...which one should I trust???

Trust neither. Connect a Freeview receiver to your aerial and, if you get some channels, it's worth installing the proper aerial and cable.

Short version of a long story. In the last month or so, I have used the DTG checker for five different sites. They were all marginal with only some of the multiplexes visible. DTG got it spot on every time, Freeview was never right.
A colleague who used to be a senior transmitter bod with the Beeb tells me that the DTG site uses a proper terrain mapping and propagation programme to calculate coverage whereas Freeview uses a much cruder go/no go map.
Still well worth while doing a check though.
