freeview digital audio

    Hi , can anyone tell me, i have bought a freeview box and has digital audio signal output (phono connection).. does this give me 5.1 sound as like dvd..If so i could connect to my amp/projector ...Macky.

    No, Freeview doesn't broadcast 5.1. All you'll get is normal stereo with good old fashioned surround sound as on normal stereo TV.

    Don't despair, if you have Dolby prologic 2 on your amp you,ll still get pretty good surround some films/series are very good
