what freebox do you recommmend guys???

Im not really bothered if it has HDD as I cant really afford some of the top box at the moment??

It will be connected to a Panny PW6.

One thing that would be idea would be to have a scart input to link my DVD player though leaving one scart stright to the PW6 save having to buy a Scart switch for the time being......however this is not a necessity

    thanks for your help

See my reply to the Pace post.

Humax 8000T PVR can be had for £150 - a steal in my view, or if you want to keep costs down the Humax Freeview only box is every bit as good.

I like Nokia but the last one I bought was slow compared with the Humax, and not quite as good picture (though still very good)

Are the TUCT30 any good, or do the HUMAX blow it away??

A digital sound out put would be good....although I have a question on this. My DVD player has digital input (SCH310E) which is taken up by the DVD player output lead, so can you buy a 2 into 1 optical link?? and would it be a good idea to run the Freeviewe box sound through my home cinema system???

TUCT30 are pretty good. Sound through HC yes but no need to go digital.... analohue will be fine TUCT30 has no separate audio outs, humax does and has HDD which for £50 extra is useful, there were £127 using dixons voucher....

What HUMAX would you recommend if I wanted to keep the price down by not having the HDD. I just realised i have two digital inputs on my home theatre system so I may as well take advantage of this and have a freeview box with digital out too

wow, that I player has some cool feature, like the caller display and stuff......what other freeview boxes come with feature such as this.....and what HDD prices come with these kind of feature...as if I stretch my budget enough (well save up a bit more) then I might get a HDD one

    Netgem IPlayer

If you ever want to record TV

I player is the only one that has component none of the HDD units do and the BT one is the only one with caller id. get it and wait for dvd recorder or similar with digital reception.

Get a Pace Twin for £175.00 direct from Pace (and therefore presumably with the latest software). and you will not regret it
