Just got myself a HD-Ready LCD TV, loving it, everything looks lovely... apart from the Freeview box which looks like ass.

I am planning to get a new DVD Player which can upscale the image to 720p/1080i. Are there Freeview boxes that do the same?

There's not a lot of point. Upscaling does not improve the quality, and the quality of some Freeview channels is very poor, nowhere near DVD quality.

Before I changed to a HTPC, I took the scart out of the Phillips freeview box to a JVC Video player, that had S-Video, and that seemed to have a better picture on the plasma. Might be worth checking out - Andy
