Have an old on-digital box which I'd like to replace, however I find it very handy to have the channel shown and up/down channel buttons on the front especially when want to tape something quickly without having to put telly on to check channel etc.

Most of the new boxes don't seem to have any display - can anyone suggest a model that might suit ?

    Many thanks.

The philips one has a few controls and a display on the front.

I'm not sure what the display reads though.

We sale them for £99.95 @ Comet. They're also avaliable from RS for the same price.

The philips dtr 1500 display has nothing but coloured lights -red green amber, to tell the user what mode it is in; off, on, standby.
