Anyone seen or heard of a freeview box that outputs vga ?
If so where can i find one !
presumably to output to a plasma/projector/lcd TV?
the only way you will get this is to either
a] use a freeview card in a PC
b] use an RGB->VGA adaptor , see http://www.pluggedin.tv/item--RGB-to-VGA-converter--JS-RGB-VGA
Cheers that sorts that question david
So does anyone know if i can get a freeview box that outputs svhs to my pwd5 ?
Well you would be better off sending RGB or component video to your plasma, whichever it supports - so the only freeview box that supports all the output standards (rgb, component, svideo and composite) is this one.
all the best
Thats just what i am looking for david
I have sky through dvd recorder on component and am wanting another feed upto plasma so i can watch one whilst recording the other !
The netgem seems cheaper than going the rgb/vga route
thanks for your help
Can u tell me how to get component output (buy what cable to convert?)from the netgem so that i can connect to my ptae100. Thanks
As far as i understand it's a scart to componant (3 RCA) cable and you change the settings on the netgem to output componant.
I have yet to plug mine in! as i havn't bought the cable either! don't know whether these cable are directional or not.
I have had the netgem ouputting from component and it works fine but i saw no difference between that and scart ! (had a netgem last year)
And if remember you have to make sure the scart to component cable is going in the right direction
Can anyone recommend a cable? or where they bought theirs?
You try asking at the Netgem Forum
Is those freeview receiver can be used in Australia?
