It is quite a simple question.

    I have a Netgem iPlayer.

Would I get the best PQ from it using component out to my LCD

Or could I get an even better picture using a HTPC to receive the Freeview and output via DVI into my LCD?

    Thanks,

    Ho yin

It depends on what video processing the HTPC is doing, and how well. If it has a good quality scaler then it should be better than the internal scaler of the LCD screen.
If you already have the HTPC then try it and see. If you are just thinking about building/buying a HTPC then ask about the hardware/software that is recommended on the HTPC forum here.

    Mark.
