When I access any of the BBC channels (1,2,3 or 4) via my Freeview box (JVC TU-DB1SK) I see the channel for 2-3 seconds and then the following message appears: "Due to Technical difficulties, the service you require is currently unavailable, please try again later". All non-BBC channels work fine as normal.

I've tried on another freeview box and the BBC channels are fine. I was using the JVC set in another house and have now started getting this error when I re-scanned in my own house (it was working fine before).

Did you delete the existing channels before doing a channel rescan? Do you have any duplicate channels in the 800 range?

Hi Gomezz, deleted the BBC channels and did the re-scan but the BBC channels disappear as before. No duplicates either.

A very odd thing however, I hit the i (information) button just before the error text appeared and now the channel stays on the screen!! The information however sits at the bottom of the screen so it's still far from ideal. Again this only applies to BBC channels???

    Can anyone please help?:lease:

I had that on a TV with built in DVB-T decoder.

In the end I found it was because BBCi was NOT on channel 105

I also made sure that 301, 302, 303, etc where on the channel numbers that they take as default when you do a complete rescan.

As I think has aready be posted, factory default and then a rescan

If you can/wish to sort the order for channels in your STB then it would be a good idea not to move BBCi at 105 or the interactive 301, 302, 303 etc from there "as scaned" positions.

If you have an option to delete channels then don't delete these.

But if you have an opton to "hide channels" this should be OK. So that when you use the channel up/down on the handheld it steps over hidden channels.

I hope my post has been of use :)
