Well I finally decided while the indoor aerial was performing well on some channels it was a little to tempermental on others so arranged for a replacement of my rooftop aerial.
This was done this morning by a local company who fitted the new aerial and fed it to two different rooms, both the digital STB and the analogue setup are performing very well and I am very pleased.
All I need now is for Fusion to launch their FVRT100 and hopefully it will meet my expectations, the VCR is making some dreadful noises and surely on it's last legs:)

I believe I can post the name of the company on the forum but not 100% sure so if you live in the east midlands (Derby/Notts way) and need a pointer to a good installer (who I have no direct connection with except by being a customer) PM me:)

Just wondered what kind of price installation and a new aerial are, I need to get my aerial changed at some point.

There was a selection of 6 types of aerial for upgrading, the cheapest was £48 fitted plus VAT but obviously that will vary depending upon installer and what sort of competiton he/she has in their area.
Always worth having a look through your Yellow Pages or Thomson Local for any CAI approved installers who offer a free survey/quote.
