Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone on here knows how I can get to watch Freesat in Australia. I have read that it can be done with a Humax box and something called a Slingbox. I don't know what a slingbox is though. Can anyone help me out with what is required and if they can be easily purchased here in Aus or online and if I need to install anothe dish other than my existing Foxtel dish - that is assuming that Freesat is available down under. Thanks in advance.

A slingbox is a bit of kit connected to freesat / sky in one location so that via the internet you can watch it in another. So you would need fressat set up in the UK to use it

You won't get Freesat via satellite in Australia, it's a UK focused satellite EPG provider.

Slingbox, will become inoperable on Nov. 9, 2022 as they will be closing down their servers.
