Its going to be an awfully long wait as ever -_- I wouldn't mind having it to see if you can enable progressive scan from a PAL Gamecube and for rentals. Better off with an NTSC Gamecube IMO ^_-

The team that created the GameShark products is no longer working with InterAct and is releasing the GameCube version of GameShark under a new name, as well as PS2 and GBA products.

Datel Electronics has announced that it is no longer working with InterAct Accessories to distribute GameShark code products. Future Datel code devices will be released under the Action Replay name, and the first new product under the name will essentially be the much-delayed GameShark for the GameCube. The Action Replay for the GameCube will be released in late December for $39.99. In addition to allowing players to cheat in GameCube games, the unit will also let GameCubes play imported game discs.

Would you believe both products are ready to go and have been for quite a while (thats why new Gamcube Action Replay codes keep appearing on the Codejunkie website) the only reason it has been delayed is to introduce some kind of protection into the software so certain comapanies cannot reverse engineer it i.e Blaze(Xploder)

I gave up on Freeloader in the Summer. I had bought 4 US games in Florida in July after all the promises from Datel. They have given false promises since May last year. I gave up, sold the Pal Gamecube, and bought an imported Gamecube-the best move I ever made. I am not sure whether I am allowed to advertise where I got it from but if you are interested please pm me.

You can advertise away, there are no rules on importing, only on piracy :)

Goblindirect have done the best deals I could find, 145 for a factory refurb with mem card and Animal Crossing. All I need to do is sell my PAL Cube :(

so that's not even a new us cube?

does freeloader even exist or is it a strategy by Nintendo to stop people importing hardware by continually pushing back the release date.

It certainly wouldn't be a Nintendo tactic - there are rumours of them trying to block its release (I think the reverse engineering/break of copyright argument is being used, similar to that used by console manufacturers against emulator programmers), but as it's not published by them, or even given the "seal of quality", which the vast majority of games do get, they're not going to be directly changing the release date. I just reckon that Datel haven't sorted it yet.

I bought a refurb US Gamecube from Goblindirect-immaculate condition-looks like new-go for it -a real bargain-no import duty-you won't regret it!!!
