hi, could anybody tell me if you can get free xbox live
On the 360 you get Silver membership to download goodies, but you need to pay to actually play games on-line against other players.
I really dont understand you constantly asking about free xbox live?
Xbox live Gold costs money, its not free, nor is there anyway to get it free.
hi, could you tell me how to get xbox live and how much it would it will cost
All you will need is the console (XB or XB360), broadband internet connection, 40 quid and a bank card which can accept direct debit.
You can buy the suscription from a shop, but cant set it up without the bank card. Nothing gets charged to your bank card until the 1 year suscription runs out. They will however email you to the address you used to sign up before your suscription runs out, just incase you want out. But the suscription will renew for another 40 quid to the next year of service via direct debit if you let it.
If your console will be close to your PC, you can just use the ethernet cord from your modem to plug straight into your Xbox. Its real simple. You can also set it up via a router, if you need to know about that I'll let somebody else inform you as Ive always direct connected from my modem.
Managed to get a year with a headset for £26.99 from amazon marketplace. Just search xbox live starter kit.
Ignore this guy.
You don't need to register a bank card with Microsoft online, go into a store or online, and buy the 12 month card. Plug in your 360 (via router or ICS from the PC) and connect etc etc. Sign up and go for Xbox Live Silver (it eventually gives you a free month) - then enter the 12 month card in under the Redeem Code section. Et voila, no card details necessary, hence the 12 month 360 cards.
Toys R Us have live sets for £19.99. 12 months subs, original XBOX headset and
Cheap as chips.
shame they don't do it online though, too far from a store to be worth the hassle.
look on ebay...people are always selling the cards (or the code emailed) for about 27-30! Saves you a tenner and your instantly on. Make sure the seller is genuine and has good feedback if your going down this route..
My bad, Ive had my account for 3 years and wouldnt have thought they would change that feature. You needed to enter bank details back in the day for the automatic renewal, along with entering your 12 month suscription code.
That was just for the original Xbox, annoyingly (for someone that isn't me), the card details of my mum is still on the 360 thanks to it being carried over from my original account.
But you can buy 12 month cards and on the 360, no debit/credit card is required.
