    Well, I have a quandry.................

So far, I've been unable to sell my spare RIAT/Jubilee Garden ticket.. :(

So here's a deal, for known Photog Forumites ONLY.

Register your interest here, and if I can't sell it by the end of next week, I'll put all your names into a hat.

First one out gets it free...I'll even put the stamp on it.

ONLY IF I CAN'T FLOG IT FOR SOME HARD EARNED CASH BEFORE OK.

    John

Nice idea there Sean, but I'd rather not make a fuss in case i flog it first.

Its at Fairford just north of Swindon, July 16th and 17th.

Main ticket is for either day but not both.

Private enclosure ticket is Saturday ONLY.

Are you wanting to go 'in the hat'?

I do realise that this may be a dreadful suggestion but had you thought of giving the ticket away.
I may be 110% mistaken but I thought I saw a picture, on another forum, of a £3200.00 lens that was attributed to your good self. If I am mistaken I apologise wholeheartedly and unreservedly.
Anybody who is prepared, and able, to spend that much on a lens can surely afford to overlook a mere £25.00.

Errrrrrr  I AM suggesting that I'll give it away if I don't flog it by next weekend.

I think you are 5000% wrong about me owning a £3200.00 lens....I WISH..

I am the humble owner of a meagre 300D... :suicide:
And a modest prosumer 100-400L..... :suicide: :suicide:

    :hiya:

Have you read the first posting?

    Thats what he is doing.

I have done Cosford last month but I think the RIAT is a bit of a long day for 5 year olds. So family ticket next year.

Johndm, my most profound apologies for my error.
Errrrr, I meant give it away now.
MartinImber, at the risk of being pedantic Johndm is giving away the ticket IF he cannot sell it by the end of next week i.e. 15th July ?
I am probably being a bit thick but I do not understand that which he means by "Putting a stamp on it." If he is suggesting posting it then it should arrive about two days after the show.

    Good question!

    Which day would be quieter?

Also what time does the display start?

First time to Fairford, prior to Cosford last I done was Staverton over 15 years ago with Shackleton and 2 Sea Furies (got them on video as well!)

    Any other AVFORUMS people going?

Too late....gave it to a guy on my aviation forum...

Now I'm in big trouble....he's a professional aviation photog, and I believe he has a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II and a shedload of big primes.

And I'll be spending a day with him.....think my visa card could be in for a good thrashing sooner rather than later...

You still going to use Kerso john?

Got some good new contacts on Canon's digital forums t the other day (as you know) , he must rake it in. you can pick up from wakefield now which is not a million miles from here. Does he take credit card? having said that it's cash if you pick it up.

Well he's now a member on the Canon forum, and getting good 'cred'.

Don't know if he does CC, when I got my 100-400 I just sent him the money through Paypal... :smashin:

I'm guessing he'd want the money before you get to pick the lenses up, which means really you might as well have them sent. But if it was a matter of paying when you pick up, then he'd get a lot of custom from the north west

How long does it normally take to get in and also to get out again afterwards.

We took 3 hours to escape from Cosford

Last year I used the 'Green' car park. Drove straight in and out with no delay at all, but I was staying with friends near Bristol.

Year before did motorways...m1, m25, m4 to Swindon an the 'Blue' car park. That was a nightmare, left Bedford at 7am, got to show at 2pm. Went to car at 7pm, never got out of car park till midnight...
That was the year everyone had stress though...

Gonna try the cross country route to the 'Red' this year.

Even though I have a Jubilee garden ticket,I still plan to leave Bedford at 4.30am to get there as gates open, and grab a spot at the front..
