Free Sensor Cleaning at Calumet

Calumet are offering free sensor cleaning to Canon and Nikon owners on the following dates:
One sensor clean per person.

No Sir, they won't clean those, just sensors.
You want a "specialist" camera shop for that.
:D

...as in they'll happily sell you a Nex but don't offer Sony Sensor cleaning.... besides I don't need to get my Dick cleaned.... ;)

Useful info, but sadly no store near me and as I have just taken my D800E to my local Nikon dealer for a "spring clean" it would have been no good for me. The difference with a D800E is it does not have the filter in front of the sensor that most DSLRs have so Nikon say only they should do the cleaning. The point being that it is the filter that is usually cleaned, not the actual sensor. On a D800E they do clean the actual sensor.

It doesn't have an anti aliasing filter but there is still a filter in front of the sensor. No digital camera has nothing in front of the sensor.

It doesn't have an anti aliasing filter but there is still a filter in front of the sensor. No digital camera has nothing in front of the sensor.

Strange that the shop, Chiswick Camera Centre, say it has to go back to Nikon as it means they don't get the money :confused:
