I have installed it. Looks to be development software - once they get it popular they will charge for it perhaps.

The readme for instructions goes on and on but the basic idea seems straightforward.

This RAW stuff is all new to me. I have taken a bunch (33 shots) in RAW and have been wondering what to do with them. I tried a photoshop plugin first and the changes you can make easily seem like a good idea - then I thought about doing it 33 times and it didn't seem so clever.

This download has a batch processing thing but I have not read enough of the instruction to try it yet.

I can see the advantage of RAW files but I think I will only use them when the situation means I need the best possible. For most I will stick to best jpeg. I don't have the patience for all that processing. Being very slightly colour blind probably means I won't make the best decisions anyway :D

I think FastStone Image Editor can process the RAW format but I don't know the first thing about digital photography. Hence me browsing this forum for a change. :)

Pixmantec have just released the 2006 version of this, and it includes support for more cameras (including the Dynax 5D I'm just about to buy). Available here: http://www.pixmantec.com/

its superb, i use it pretty much exclusively, and will probably upgrade to the premium version soon.

it kicks the ass of adobe, canon and nikon etc with their raw programs:smashin:

the new version also covers the canon 5D, nikon D200 and a number of other newer cams
