Wasn't sure where to put this so figured this forum was most relevant. I bought something off GoG and was given a free code to full version of system shock 2, which I already have.

First one replying they want it can have it.

Only commenting to say it's a generous offer and to give you thumbs up! It's a classic game up there with the likes of Half Life and Deus Ex. If you love a bit of retro classic gaming you will not be disappointed.

System shock series is just about my favourite made, these games are what gave life to the bio shock series. For anyone reading I would snap this up in an instant if I didn't already have it, highly recommend it!!

Am I too late Swanny? I'd love to have it. Never played that particular franchise...probably because Half Life took up half my life in those days :)

Very kind of you, Swanny, many thanks! Quite excited to play it. I'll be sure to give my thoughts on it after I finish the game. I have been checking to see if need to play System Shock 1 first but it seems its not necessary and this game is independent and self contained enough as it is.

The first isn't essential but I would recommend it, whilst SS2 is independant in itself there are a couple of moments in the game that will make more sense if you have played the first one.

I think I have played SS1 far more times than 2 but both were excellent

Worth mentioning that you can mod the hell out of SS2, there are guides over at GoG.
