On the cover of Total DVD (please correct me if I have got the wrong mag) is a DVD of Straight to Hell.

hmmm... not seen the film myself, so checking it out on imdb ...
    http://uk.imdb.com/Title?0094048

It really does seem to polarise the audience ! More people give the film 10/10 than any other mark, yet it averages out at only 4/10 !!

And it seems by far the most popular with women aged 18-29 !

    Perhaps a 'cult classic' ... ??

If it was any good it wouldn't be "free" on the front of a mag. cover!

Actually it is a good film:rolleyes: for those that like something a little different to the usual Hollywood nonsense.
It's been one of my favourite Alex Cox films for quite some time. Admittedly it's a bit of an aquired taste, as are all his films, but personally I like it more than most of his recent films.
Nice retrospective documentary and very good commentary (as usual) with Alex Cox.

Incidently, all his films on the ILC Prime label are budget priced (under £5) and all come with commentaries and other extras. Highway Patrolman is another really good film and played straight rather than being quite as quirky as Straight to Hell is which is more of a comedic take on spaghetti westerns packed with old punk rockers and the usual Cox stalwarts. The music, a combination of stuff by The Pogues, Joe Strummer and Pray For Rain, is excellent.

Does that mean we can expect "Matrix Reloaded" as a free cover disc? :D

BTW "Straight to Hell" is one cool movie and the best free cover disc I have seen offered yet. Thought I was seeing things at first...

The median is 7, arithmetic mean is 6.6, but IMDB use a weighted average to try and compensate for vote stuffing, hence why the average is 4.4/10

"Three Businessmen" is my favourite Alex Cox movie :) Not seen this one though. The fact Courtney Love is in it put me right off it ....
