Free Apple Bumpers in the UK!!

Apparently, according to a BBC 5Live interview today, iPhone 4 users who go to the Apple store to complain about the 'left hand lost signal phenomenon' are being given a free Apple Bumper to alleviate the problem.

Post on this thread if you have success in getting one.

I did wonder when first seeing the bumper exactly why it had been designed to only protect the edge. And, AFAIK, it's the first time Apple have offered a 'case' for sale with a device.

This suggests that Apple was pre-empting a known problem.

I finally got it to work waiting for o2 since 2 days to transfer my pyng sim to micro sim and stile is not I just cut a virgin sim and can confirm problem is real bad I just nee to hold it at the end not like in video and lose 4 bars this is worst than I thout hope they fix it

I contacted the apple support number on the apple site. I was in a queue for 25 mins. I told the support man that I heard people were receiving free bumpers. He put me through to a senior and he offered me a bumper free for my hassle.
Worth a phone call defo.

i did exactly the same, spoke to a manager and he flatly refused. I was polite etc, but he said there was no such policy until Apple officially announces what to do.
If anyone else has any luck, please post. May have to go nuclear on the phone.

yep no bumper for me ! Was quite angry that the guy doesn't recognise it as a problem. Just say it was suppose to be like that! so frustrating! I don't want it to be like an Apple cover up and then fix the hardware in iphones produced in the next few months and we are all stuffed with the old one.
