Hi,
This is my first post, so apologies if my netiquette isn't up to scratch.
I have two Foxsat HDRs, both with separate fixed IP addresses, different names, and both with Raydon's latest firmware (v. 4.1.3). I am trying to crosslink them, but am having a problem which I can't see mentioned anywhere else on this or other forums:
When I try to mount the virtual usb drive on the other machine, I get this error:
Sat Nov 21 11:56:14 GMT 2015 : Found Gadget on : sda1
Sat Nov 21 11:56:14 GMT 2015 : Pinging Host 199.199.199.4
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : 3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0% packet loss
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : Ping of host successfull .... mapping drive
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : Making mount point directory /media/sda1/Bedroom
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : Mounting //199.199.199.4/Video onto /media/sda1/Bedroom
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : ERROR Mounting //199.199.199.4/Video onto /media/sda1
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : Mount command returns => mount: Mounting //199.199.199.4/Video on /media/sda1/Bedroom failed: Host is down
Sat Nov 21 11:56:16 GMT 2015 : Finished mounting all mount points
But, when I then look in the sending machine's media listing and switch from HDD to USB, I find the mount point directory has been created on the sending machine, and not the intended target.
I'm hoping someone may be able to help.
To clarify, the Nasmount log above is running on the first Foxsat (named Lounge, and with an IP address of 199.199.199.3), and is trying to mount a virtual drive on the second Foxsat (named Bedroom, with an IP address of 199.199.199.4).
I did have a successful connection previously running on both machines connecting to a 2Tb NAS, but deleted both shares in case that was the issue affecting the crosslinking, but it made no difference. I have rebooted both Foxsats after each settings change, and also stopped and restarted Samba on both machines, all to no avail.
