    Hi all,

I've just purchased a Foxsat HD. Does it give 5.1 Dolby sound over HDMI? Or do I have to connect it via optical cable to get the 5.1?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I thought DD sound came through HDMI as well, will check and post back.

Ive got humax HDR connected through onkyo amp via HDMI and think Ive seen the correct signal lights come on.

right checked with the duffy song from BBC HD and the amp is seeing the dolby digital sound track correctly. So I am not sure why you would also need an optical connection if using HDMI to an amp that supports HDMI.
