Just turned to Fox News on Sky only to find that it says that you have to subscribe to watch it! I was watching it for free just a couple of hours ago, it has always been free on Sky, it is owned by Newscorp (same company as sky) for god's sake!

Seriously not impressed Sky :thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

I thought Fox News needed a subscription anyway ?
At home we have two SKY+ with subscriptions that we have been using to watch Fox News about Katrina aftermath. The other SKY boxes are just used for BBC, ITV, C4 & C5 so no subscription paid - no Fox News.
    Weird !

Same with me....I had to suspend my Sky subscription a short while back for a few months... and certainly didn't have FOX whilst without a subscription to SKY

Well it must have been a technical glitch because it is back on again now... so sorry for the misinformation.
I didn't realise that some people had to pay extra for it, bit of a cheek really as it is only a direct feed from the US with not even any UK adverts... That's $ky for you! :(

You don't pay 'extra' for it...it is not a seperate sub...it comes as part of one of the Sky packages.

I'd be very upset if this was the case too, it's one of my favourite comedy channels :D

I know, it's great isn't it: "We distort. You comply."

It always reminds me of those news broadcasts in Robocop :rotfl:

I cancelled my Sky subs about 6 months ago and still get the usual free channels but Fox News is one I can't get.

Sorry to disagree. Its still not free to air, it always used to be. It won't make me subscribe to sky though

You can disagree as much as you like but your wrong....it may have been free to air when it first joined Sky, but only for short while, and since has never been intended as free to air, but as part of one of the packages. If you or anyone has been able to watch, without a sub, you have been 'lucky'...

    You're not missing much - 30% programmes, 70% ad-breaks.

I know, but sometimes I like to listen to a completely unbiased view of the news. :smashin:
