Found out my debit card has been cloned!

Tried to get some cash from an ATM machine but said i'd reached my limit.
I only used it once today at screwfix for a very small amount.
So phoned the bank who said someone had made two withdrawls abroad for £140 each time  .
It must have rang alarm bells at the bank and blocked the card (as i had only just used the card in the uk, at least they were on the ball!)
Will i be able to get my money back?
Had to use my credit card to get some cash, will i be able to get them to drop the rediculous charges they charge for cash on a credit card as they wouldn't let me use my debit card?

Unless the bank can prove you were reckless and gave out your security details to someone else, then they are unlikely to charge you anything. Read up on your Terms & Conditions - some banks hold you liable for the first £50 or £100, but not many.

As far as I am aware they refund you the money and no bank charges are made. Thats what I believe anyway, could be wrong. But I cant see how they would hold you responsible.

My credit card was used fraudulently on a gambling site last month - fortunately they clawed the money back and refunded my account (£139.47).

Have had a new card issued!
