We continually assess what forums need to be added and which need to be retired. While we like to be at the forefront of technology with new forums, we are also aware that the sheer number of forums can be intimidating to folks new to us.
We recently added the Sony NGS and Nintendo 3DS forums for those new technologies.
We also merged the ICE and Sat Nav forums for a more holistic approach to motoring technology.
We have also said farewell to some old friends. The CRT and Rear Projection TV forums have been merged with the parent TV forum. No new domestic CRT or Rear Projection TVs are being produced and the support threads are few and far between.
And the CRT Projectors forum has been merged with the parent Projectors forum since CRT Projector production for the home market ceased some years ago and most people have now moved to digital projection.
The Worldwide forums didn't take off in their current form, so we have removed those for the time being.
We have also moved some forums around. The 'Editorial' forums have been moved further down the list in order to give people new to AVForums the right first impression. Specifically that we are a forum oriented towards home entertainment technology.
