Well, it's been faultless for over a year. Now all of a sudden, it's got a fault which is manifesting in 2 ways

1) lost channels - primarily the BBC's Chl 5 and Chl 4
2) Freezing the channels that are working, are intermittently freezing and screeching (for want of a better description)

The dish is on the front of the house, with a clear line of sight and doesn't appear to have moved.

I've tried resetting the channels to default and powered it off at the mains for excess of 10 minutes, but no change

Any pointers please

Thanks

Oh, and another strange thing....the food network channel is now an adult channel, even though it comes up as food network....

You're using the FSP just for the Freesat channels?

Yes....strangely enough, it's come back on, all the channels as it was before, and 10 minutes later dropped out again....

So what exactly is the problem now?

OK, that's clear and it could be due to several factors, from weather conditions to deteriorating cable.
Did the problem of the changing channel resolve itself?

Well come home tonight, plugged it all in and it's perfect...

I'll get the ladder out and check the cable and connector for deterioration

Thanks for the pointers

Just to give a quick update, lost the channels again yesterday, so got the ladder out.

The connector was manky to say the least, the copper centre core of the cable was very black and damp. Cut it off and remade it and it's perfect.

Might need to look at a better quality / waterproof connector

Thanks again.
