Top bargain at only £299.95: link (and in stock)
Even better though, buy the c64 with Minority Report for the GBA. Wow, they'd go together so well........!
(that's the offer at the bottom of the page atm).
I guess I'm also showing my age by starting this thread.
We recommendBuy Commodore 64 Computer boxed (c64) and Virtua Fighter (PC)
They've got to be kidding !! £299 !
My one is still working and in the loft with the original tape player.
Yup, I've still got mine and the giant floppy disc drive that was as big as the computer itself.
What do they go for on eBay?
Only £300 - bargain!
Shouldn't that be £29.99? I wouldn't pay £299 for the C64 when it came out, nevermind now.
Ahhhh, an Amstrad man like myself.
No crazy fool! He is a Spectrum man.
Aah those were the days. You Xbox/Sony fanboys don't know what you are on about. The real war was Spectrum/Amstrad/Commodore. Oh yes! Except if you had a Spectrum like me then you didn't really have anything to gloat about.
Indeed, a Speccy man . Although they were basically Amstrads once Sugar took Sinclair over. The +2 and +3 looked almost identical to the CPC464 & CPC664 infact.
Oh and you're right, fanboy wars are very tame now, compared to how they used to be . Back in the day owning more than one computer just wasn't done. You picked your side and stuck to it. In arguements you stuck up for your computer to the end and slagged off the competition.
That said, I was about 10 back then though and I like to think that i've at least grown up a little since then . Maybe 10 year olds today are just the same with their Playstation's & Xbox's.
I knew I should have kept my old Amstrad 464 and green screen.
Wasn't there a Speccy that the keys fell off if it was turned upside down ?
Fond memories of that!
Was anyone else a Jeff Minter fan?
I just loved Revenge of the Mutant Camels, Sheep I Space, & Psychedelia

Look out for Space Giraffe on the 360 if you're a Minter fan, should be out soon!
I had a CPC464+ and one day the monitor fell off the shelf and landed on my mum (she was okay) but from then on it was a green screen. Strange but true...
yep skooldaze was a classic. Remember renaming the characters to people you know?
I'm pretty sure it was the earlier models of the +2
Actually I believe that it was the initial Speccy 128 (or maybe even the Spectrum +)that had the trouble with the keys falling off. It had a bit of a ropey keyboard with flat plasticy keys. The +2's problem was a dodgy tape deck, but they corrected that with an updated version of the +2. I personally had the +3 and it was a quality computer in it's day. I copied a lot of my games onto disc, which was much better than waiting for them to load by tape, but also had a quality tape deck attached as well that was far superior to the +2's deck and loaded games better.
