I have just purchased an '02 Ford Mondeo TDCI 2.0 Zetec.

It has the standard Ford CD head unit and state it is CD Changer Compatible. Would any CD changer work? or does it have to be Ford?

Can you advise a cheap after market changer, where can it be installed in the car? etc

I looked into this some time back. Avoid Ford as they were charging well over the top - £200+ IIRC. You can buy a Sony changer for about £80 and an adapter for your car for about £50. There are companies that sell car manufacturer compatible packages for about the same price eg Ford Six CD changer.

    Hope this helps.

Where would you have the actual CD changer located? I guess boot is the only option?

    Thanks for the info!!!

...Or under the front passenger seat (if there's room!)
