That seems a bit steep in price, you can get a nice Panasonic 42" for just under £2k from one of the forum sponsors.

    Good luck

It isn't 'compulstory' to buy from the forum sponsors but the Panasonic 42" for just under £2k is a STONKING PRICE bar NONE.

    Quality is amazing.

would you buy a car from Laguar-Benz???? Then why buy a Plasma made by a company called Force????
For £3k you could buy Panny, Fujitsu perhaps even Pioneer. what are you looking for?Whats budget???

The limited amount of info on the Force web site certainly doesn't point at this being a top flight display - no mention of YUV Component or HDMI/DVI with HDCP inputs on the Media Box.

Contrast ratios are always difficult to use as a guide but 1000:1 on a low end unit usually points at non real world readings.

Also the Plasma 42 doesn't appear on the UK distributors web site - so possibly not available in the UK.

£3k for this unit looks expensive - look in the Power Buy section of the AV Forums we have the final few (very few) Pioneer PDP-434HDE PlasmaTV's with speakers, table top stand or wall mount and UK delivery all for £3.5K ; and as others have said your also looking at nearer £2k for a Panasonic 42" Display which does have an excellent pedigree.

    I'd keep on searching!

    Best regards

    Joe

Where abouts are you tradesman? £2500 gets you a very nicely equipped plasma list what you need, dont need.
    Ie Table mount?
    Tuner?
    Speakers?
    etc etc

PW6 with table stand and speakers <£2500, excellent deal. for similar money you could buy a hitachi but panny wins hands down. try suoerfi in Manchester, also other AV dealers and get a demo, £3k is alot for Brand X unit especially as LG/Samsungs can be had for under £1700. £3.5k would get you into HiDEF Plasma territtory
