i dont know if this has already been publicised, but i was sent this:

As Per Universal:

We are placing the current version of Jurassic Park Collector's Edition DTS DVD (20787) on
hold until 10/01/01. We will have a revised version ready by 10/01/01 and will resume shipping
at that time. All orders will be back ordered until then.

The following statement is being sent to websites and media:

Some listeners have noticed that the initial release of the Jurassic Park-DTS DVD differs in
bass level from other home-video versions. While every effort is made to maintain accuracy and
consistency across various releases, source and process issues sometimes lead to differences
which are noticeable in direct comparisons.

Universal Studios Home Video strives to ensure customer satisfaction, and accordingly has
implemented a running change for this title, using the original master soundtrack. The earlier
production run can be identified by the code number D2R1 on the inside hub. The newer, current
version can be identified by the code D2R2 and will contain a red technical grid on the back of
the packaging as part of the running change.

Consumers who have purchased the "D2R1" discs will have the option of making an exchange.
Please send in the disc only (without packaging), along with name, address and telephone
number, to:

Universal Studios Home Video
PO Box 224468
Dallas TX 75260
or
Universal Studios Home Video
8801 Autobahn Drive
Dallas, TX 75237.

Please note: This offer for exchange applies only to the DTS version of Jurassic Park.

good to hear for those of you and i belive there were many, dissatisfied with the soundtrack on this one.

says nothing about offer valid only in continental united states, which is a plus.

Hi guys/girls
I had seen the same statement as above,my first thought was too send the disc back to Universal but the offer is only to US citizens so I contacted Amazon.com who said that they would send a replacement free of charge which they did superb customer service I can confirm the replacement is fantastic for sound I would still be supporting Amazon if it was not due to there high shipping charges and guaranteed customs charges I hope this helps.
Regards I am maximus
