I have just purchased the WD HD TV box for around £70.

This is literally the size of a fag packet and has an HDMI port, a Toslink and 2 USBs. You stream media from any old external HDD connected to it via USB.

I have been testing it with my projects that I have created unsing Sony Vegas and DVD Architect Pro.

Great news - its plays M2TS no problem, and even a Blu Ray ISO no problemo!

This removed the 4.5G limit for making your own AVCHD BR discs (imposed by the DVD format). These need stored somewhere, so ideal the fact that it used HDD. And when BR burners become cheap, just burn your ISO to pukka BR discs!

    It also plays MKV files!
