The most expensive loudspeakers ever landed in Australia, with an estimated street value of $1.2b thanks to 1.596 tonnes of methylamphetamine (or 'ice' as it is commonly known) and 37kgs of heroin hidden inside, have been seized by Australian authorities.

Love the way the Chinese producer has included 5 stars on each wrap.
I wonder if it also came with a note informing the recipient of how to be pleased [handshake] that they have to pleased you.

Edit: Wow so many stars ;)

I think the most creative one I have seen is a laptop screen. They literally took the screen out, and replaced it with drugs that matched the exact size.

Frankly, I'm a little disappointed after opening this thread. I was hoping that AVForums had done a review of a custom made pair of speakers that cost them $1.2 Billion and that they were going to be given away on their competition page.

I had exactly the same thing with some Bose Lifestyle speakers.

Unfortunately, due to the size of them, the street value was only £6.47.

    :p

They didn’t really try with this one. Disappointing. These seem to be the drug smuggling equivalent of script kiddie hackers.

    On a more serious note

    1. Thats a HUGE amount of drugs in a single shipment
    2. Did they not think it would be trivial to catch them?
    3. I wonder how many times this HAS actually worked for them to be so brazen with what is probably many many millions worth of raw product.
    4. Wouldn't it be easier/less risky to finance and set up a lab to do it in country?
