    Hi all,

Simple question: which footie game should I buy (or wait for) on the Gamecube?

I don't trust magazine reviews (apart from Edge) so was looking for opinions of people who had played the various games available.

    Thanks in advance,

    RDB :)

I have all three football games currently available for the pal GC
Forget about FIFA it is crap as Moncs rightly pointed out but ISS2 is far from crap it is very good indeed.

But the one I like the best is Virtua Striker 3 it is pure arcade action and I love it.

ISS2 is more of a sim but I do agree PES will be worth the wait and will(should)be better than all the above but do not count out ISS2 and VS3 they are both very good in there own right

    Happy Gaming:D

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I was thinking of ISS2 but PES might be worth the wait if the release date isn't too far away.Does anyone know when it is?

I can't bring myself to buy Virtua Striker 3 because I had VS2 on the Dreamcast and thought it was the worst football game I've ever played. Sorry.

I know what you mean about VS2 on dreamcast but I quite liked it for some reason but things have improved for the new version.

As for PES it is not out for quite some time so maybe ISS2 may be a good choice for you?
Just get it from EB then if you do not like it just take it back before 10 days and get a full refund or rent.

Good luck in whatever you deceide

    Happy Gaming

Virtua Striker 3 is terrible. Not as bad as VS2 on DC, but, if you are a footie game purist - think ISS Pro Evo on PS1, then you will likely hate VS3.

I got it yesterday (against all my natural instincts) and it sucks.

    No different camera angles.

    Poor passing.

Lack of control over players without the ball.

    Crap.

    :(
